This is the Original Version of ‘Mind of Melvin’ the first track from YNW Melly’s sophmore album, ‘Just A Matter of Slime’ which was released while Melly was incarcerated. This version checks out as a regular demo with a slightly different format to the official release, with a few extra bars here and there which were mainly removed to give the song more of a polished pop appeal.
However there are 2 notable bars from Lil Uzi Vert’s verse that were removed, in these bars he mentioned his thought’s on Melly’s ‘charges’. These were likely removed for the benefit of both artists due to Melly’s music previously being used legally.
