“Anthony Kiedis” was written by Remi Wolf and her friend/writing and tour partner Jared Solomon (aka Solomonphonic).

As a homage to Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman, in this song Remi Wolf emotes about identity and “fitting a mold” while being a performer. The song also features Remi’s quippy ramblings on pop-culture that help illustrate the musical and cultural context she is immersed in. Remi’s songs do not seem to have much in common with Red Hot Chilli Peppers', but Remi’s debut album which includes “Anthony Kiedis”, is full to the brim with horny and funky California-ness.
