Following its release, the song received criticism online for its confusing lyrics—“say that you a lesbian, girl, me too”—and for fetishizing lesbians and WLW relationships.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Drake has made comparisons like this; on Young Money’s June 2009 song, “Every Girl,” he sneakily raps:
