Good Love Lingers On

Good Love Lingers On

ARCHIS

A good friend, Tyler Lyle, and I wrote this one together at a dark studio in Burbank, California. It’s about living on through memories of loved ones. It’s not about things you leave behind, but love you leave behind. This song reminds me a little bit of one of my favorite plays, “Cat on a hot tin roof.” It’s about the truth, and it’s about what you really leave behind for those you love. It’s like when Big Daddy tells Brick that the only thing his father left him was an old suitcase, but in reality, he left him with love. He left with him stories and memories, and “Good love” is about the hope that I can do that too.
