I wrote this song with a good friend, Seth. We didn’t really know what we were chasing after. We just started writing, and humming melodies and pretty soon this song was born. It made no sense to us at first…the lyrics seemed loose and strange, and then it began to come together. It reminded me more and more of my relationship with someone who used to be very close to me, and I focused on that.
