I was having trouble finishing lyrics for this one. Initially, I started writing it about a sister who is a lesbian. “Love is all that I have so, let me love who I want.” She grew up in a small Utah town so you can imagine she had it rough. It was about her struggle and her passion for falling in love. She has always been an inspiration to me because she yearns to be a good person and a good companion. I couldn’t finish the lyrics still, however. Then one day, I had another conversation with another sister. We walked up by her hammock on the hill and we began to talk about the old days and how we’ve changed and who we’ve become. The talk ended in tears, and I raced back down to her living room and wrote the outro in about 5 minutes.
