“feel like shit” is Tate McRae’s lead single off of her upcoming album, i used to think i could fly, which is dropping on May 27th, 2022. The Canadian singer-songwriter started posting snippets of the song and an acoustic version of the chorus in early October on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.

On October 23, 2021, a link to pre-save the single went live on her website, stating that once the song hit 20,000 pre-saves, the release date and the cover art would be revealed.

On October 29, 2021, she posted a silent video on her Instagram Story, following with a post the next day saying, “shot sumth very special yesterday for feel like shit. coming sooooooooon👀☔️”.
