“Charmander” is Aminé’s first official single since releasing his sophomore album Limbo and its deluxe version in 2020. The song is named after the fire-type lizard Pokémon from the Nintendo game installments, trading cards and animated series.

It was first previewed by Aminé at the Governor’s ball music festival and teased with a snippet on October 22, 2021 when the song was announced as his next official release. The track is smooth yet hard-hitting, incorporating witty bars with double entendres. The song released alongside its music video the same day, in part directed by Aminé himself.
