“The Family Madrigal” is the introduction song from Disney’s 2021 musical film Encanto. It introduces the key family members of the main character, Mirabel, as well as one of the key characteristics of the movie—each of Mirabel’s family members (except for the two men who married into the family) has some sort of magical power, but Mirabel does not.

Disney first teased the song by sharing a short clip of the chorus on YouTube on October 4, 2021. A longer clip was shared on November 8. The full song was released with the rest of Encanto’s soundtrack on November 19, a few days ahead of the film’s official release on November 24.
