“Grapefruit” is a song from Tove Lo’s fifth studio album Dirt Femme. The title was revealed on November 11, 2021 along with “Cute & Cruel” and “No One Dies From Love” on Instagram after Tove asked “Should I tease you with some new song titles…?”

The song details Tove’s exploration of her mental state through the lense of her eating disorder, which is a topic previously untouched in her past records until now.

Speaking to Apple Music, she said that:

When I played this song for my friends, they were like, ‘I never would’ve known. You’re so much about body positivity.’ And my response is: ‘Yes, because I went through that.’”
