In “AS FAR AS IT GETS,” LIL DUSTY G talks about the numbness he feels towards life, as well as being disconnected from reality and the impacts his mental illness and insecurity have on his life.

Dustin shared the song’s only snippet way back in May of 2018, almost four years before seeing its release with Dustin’s debut album UNDERGROWTH.
Back then, the song used an entirely different instrumental and was a lot faster paced than it is now, likely seeing a whole rework with the help of Marshmello and SINIMA.

The version Dusty showed in the snippet sampled LP’s “Muddy Waters,” with the lyrics from the first verse layered in the background:
