“Beach Boy” is a dream-pop track, about enjoying being happy while being independent, but still having a small desire for love. The track has BENEE discuss her want for the excitement and joy from a relationship, but struggling to find that without the potential hurt that might come with it.

The song was originally released as a single in February 2022, but also appears on BENEE’s third EP Lychee. It was first teased on BENEE’s official Discord server back in Janurary 2022, where a small fourty-five second snippet of the chorus was shared during an event.
