This song is written about Maisie’s friend Cate Canning’s brother, after having met him at a Halloween party she hosted in 2021.
Before it’s release, and even it’s completion, Maisie leaked sections of the song on TikTok, only for it to go viral. Her fans became obsessed with the song and desperately wanted it to be released.
On Tuesday April 19, Maisie released a pre save link hinting that the song could be released soon.
Cate’s Brother was finally released on Friday 6th May 2022.
