“Change the Locks” is the fourth single released from King Princess' second album Hold On Baby. The song was co-written and produced by Aaron Dessner.

In a post on their Instagram before it’s release, they said of the song:

“I can’t wait to give you a song about the dysfunctional sapphic experience of codependency. There’s so many gorgeous elements of being in a queer relationship, but the unity and friendship you feel together can also be completely overwhelming. Everything in queer love feels heightened, the good and the bad.”
