Calvin Harris teams up with past collaborators, Dua Lipa and Young Thug for the first single off of Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2, the highly anticipated sequel to his June 2017 fan-favorite album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1.
“Potion” was first teased on an Instagram story previewing Young Thug’s verse. On May 23, Calvin shared another teaser via social media, posting a short portion of the track’s instrumental and revealing its release date. The following day, Calvin shared a video through TikTok showing the process behind the song and previewing a snippet of Dua Lipa’s chorus.
