“gfy” is the lead single of LA-based pop sensation blackbear’s 2022 pop-punk record in loving memory. The break-up banger enlists Machine Gun Kelly for a rap verse and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

blackbear offered a verse on MGK’s last two albums with “my ex’s best friend” and “make up sex,” the latest of the duo’s collaborations as far back as 2011. Both albums were assisted by Travis Barker, so “gfy” serves to introduce the blackbear and Barker collaboration album through a mutual love for pop-punk.

blackbear announced the track via an Instagram post. Later, he would reveal it was a partially self-directed video.
