“Up All Night” is Alex Clare’s first ever single. It starred as the lead single and first track of his debut album, The Lateness of the Hour. Alex wrote the song himself, while Diplo of Major Lazer, British producer Switch, Mike Spencer and Ariel Rechtshaid took production duties. It was released as a digital download on 9th December, 2010, and the single was later released alongside remixes as a vinyl. Released through Island Records, the track was used as the opening theme of the Doctor Who spin off show, Class.

The song was remixed by SBTRKT, Skream and Nadastrom, and it peaked at 32 on the Billboard US Alternative Songs Chart.
