Bitch Betta Have My Money

AMG

“Bitch Betta Have My Money” is the title track and second single from AMG’s 1991 debut album. While the phrase was a phrase primarily used by pimps in the street in relation to their “employees,” the phrase was popularized by a scene in the 1988 Keenan Ivory Wayans film I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in which a pimp named Fly Guy recites a poem called “My Bitch Better Have My Money” during the talent portion of a Pimp of the Year competition. The BBHMM line itself was sampled from rapper Ant Live’s outro on Big Daddy Kane’s 1989 track “Pimpin' Ain’t Easy” and the beat comes from the intro of Al Wilson’s 1973 funk track “Listen To Me.”

This song was a favorite of late comedian Patrice O'Neal.
