This song is a continuation of Ten Speed (of God’s Blood and Burial).

After Ten Speed convinces Ryder that Ambellina must die so that the story can finally end (and Ryder can hopefully get back together with Erica, since he’ll no longer be so obsessed with writing the story), Ryder expresses in the pre-chorus his hatred for what Erica has done to him and how she never stood by his side.

During the chorus, Claudio tries to forget about his newly-dead love interest Ambellina and instead focuses on his original goal that he told Apollo: I’m burning Star IV.
