Putting the “brutal” in “brutally honest,” it laments the chaos of the modern dating scene, particularly for women who date men. The song’s speaker recounts her dates with “boy number one” through “boy number I-can’t-keep-count-anymore,” and articulates the subtext of what they’re really saying when they claim to be boyfriend material: “I’ve got a beach house in Malibu, and I’m probably gonna hurt your feelings.”
