“Call Me What You Like” is an indie-rock track about being unsure of the status of a relationship, and how the speaker wants it to go further, but struggles with the commitment side of being in love. The lyricism displays a lot of uncertainty and worrisome emotions in its lyrics while following the story classic teen romance.

The band’s debut single was first released in February 2023, and later appeared on Lovejoy’s EP Wake Up & It’s Over, originally confirmed by the title of the EP being on the side of the plane in the song cover art. The song was debuted at a live performance in Liverpool in October 2022, and was performed throughout their 2023 Inselaffe Tour.
