On October 10th 2022, PVRIS began promoting the song on social media by updating their page layouts and hiding old posts on Instagram.

The next day the release date of 10/20 (October 20th) was revealed, and each subsequent day more visuals and promotional images were posted.

October 11th notably, fans received a pre-save link for the song as well as the cover art.

On October 14th notably, a first listen teaser was posted revealing the first of upcoming new music.

After continued promotion, on October 18th at 1PM EDT, PVRIS announced the next single would be a dual release accompanied by a short film comprising of two music videos, ‘ANIMAL / ANYWHERE BUT HERE’.

The release of ‘Anywhere But Here’ and ‘Animal’ mark the beginning of a new age for PVRIS under the independent record label Hopeless Records.
