An indictment of some of the negative cultural trends being nurtured by icons of black culture, with special attention given to TV and mainstream rap artists. The last lines of each verse emphasize the importance of self-examination and self-improvement in the effort to better the world around you. I think there’s an apt Gandhi quote about “being the change”, but I hear dude hated black people.
