“BANG BANG!” is a dark BPD inspired single. On the track Barrett talks about her intrusive thoughts, and getting revenge on an ex and their new lover. In a press release from Warner Records, Barrett says;

The song was written about my borderline personality rage. There’s times where I just get so mad that I think about the craziest things I want to do in that moment, I feel like everyone deep down has intrusive thoughts even though they don’t want to admit it.

The closing track to Barrett’s 2023 EP, was her first single following the release of her debut album’s re-issue, young forever (extended) in late 2022. The track was released on February 17, 2023, alongside the music video. The song was first teased in a photo she posted of the song’s title onto Twitter. The first offical snippet was released on TikTok, on December 27, 2022.
