“Lottery” sees Latto, with assistance from LU KALA, using the odds of winning the titular gambling activity as an analogy to describe someone being able to have her.

It is her first release of 2023, and finds her reuniting with producer Dr. Luke, who provides an airy, upbeat pop instrumental with similarities to Doja Cat’s 2019 hit “Say So,” which he also produced.

Latto teased snippets of the song via Instagram first on January 31, 2023, and then again on February 6th. On February 9th, she revealed the song’s title as well as its official release date.
