In “FAERIE SOIRÉE” Melanie Martinez is on a mushroom trip–trying to stay away from the hallucinations around them, and in the end she gives herself in, to escape.

The song continues the same alternative electronic dream-pop that Melanie uses throughout the PORTALS album. Additionally, it’s the fourth track on the album.

A demo of “FAERIE SOIRÉE” was originally leaked on November 4th, 2022. The song was performed live a year later by Melanie herself in Lollapalooza, Argentina.
