I Don’t Mind

I Don’t Mind

Chlöe

For “I Don’t Mind,” Chlöe addresses an ex who is still hooked on her, but instead of rejecting his prolonged interest, she isn’t bothered by it, even allowing them to be intimate again.

Chlöe eventually finds herself conflicted between being unsure if she wants him back and unable to see him with someone else. She admits that he’s attractive, and he’s even went as far as letting go of his other women for her, further complicating matters.

The song is the most musically unique on In Pieces, containing a pop Afrobeats sound courtesy of co-producer P2J, who had previously worked with the likes of Wizkid, Tems, Kali Uchis and even Chlöe’s mentor, Beyoncé.
