The euphoric progressive house track ‘'Carry You’‘ is the second collaboration between Martin Garrix and Third Party after their first collaboration on 2016 with “Lions In The Wild”.

The song was premiered on March 24, 2023 at Ultra Music Festival Miami. Since then, fans started referring to the song under the name “Flashlights”. Rumors arose as to whether vocals would be added or not, and when the song would be released. Martin Garrix also played several more unreleased songs in that set, which quickly suggested an upcoming album or EP release by him.

In January 2024, both artists reunited to finish the song, making it clear that the song will have vocals. Later that month, Third Party performed the song with vocals in a set at Opium Barcelona. There, it became clear that Winona Oak (Oaks) and Declan J Donovan were the vocalists, and that the name of the song was not ‘'Flashlights’‘ but ’‘Carry You’‘.
