“Things We Be Doin' For Money Part 1” is track 13 on Busta Rhymes' 2nd studio album, When Disaster Strikes…. It is part one of a two part storytelling track about the dangers of robbery.

This one shows Busta as a hardened robber, a man who will do anything to get his hands on some cash. Busta presents an evil and malicious side of himself here, that culminates in him robbing this dude in the streets for everything he has. Luckily, the man manages to get away, if you listen to the physical-copies-only skit, which leads the story into the next track, part 2.

The production is by Easy Mo Bee, the man behind one of Busta’s most classic tracks, “Everything Remains Raw”, and is quite dark and gloomy compared to the production on the last track.
