The basic meaning everyone finds in this song is that the girl loved someone and he/she met someone else (the she wolf), leaving her heartbrokened. But I found an interesting take on this song. I think she’s talking about herself, her wild side that expressed desire in lust and in a carnal and explicit way. She loved him/her completely but he/she liked the “she wolf” (her wild side) forgetting that there was so much more to her. She feels as if her true self isn’t enough because when the she wolf takes over, there’s no defeating her.
