Sympathetic prison guard Brenda (Siobhan Fallon) tries to help Selma (Björk), who’s having a panic attack, make it to the gallows to die as she stomps her feet and counts the 107 steps in order to allow Selma to slip into her own happy place, making it easier to take her.
