Essence is the third track for Oliver Tree’s third studio album Alone In A Crowd.
The track was originally found through PPL UK’s music registry, fans used ISRC codes to put together the track list, showing this to be the third track for Tree’s forthcoming third album.
The track features “Super Computer” who is an unknown artist, and is presumably another Oliver Tree alter-ego, following after Little Ricky ZR3.
Oliver would first tease the track on August 22, 2023 in an Instagram post asking fans to vote on which song should be the next single he releases.
The following day on August 23, 2023 Oliver would announce Essence won the vote and that it would be the next single he’d release.
On August 24, 2023 the tracks Pre-save link would become available.
On August 28, 2023 Oliver would post to his Instagram saying “10,000 comments and I drop the new music video for Essence tonight”
