This song is directly inspired by the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales, specifically his iteration in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. I relate a lot to Miles and know what it’s like to be surrounded by a bunch of important people… all of whom are constantly trying to control your destiny and trying to tell you what you can or can’t do – nah, I'ma do my own thing!
