“Crawl” is a song about a relationship in disarray, with Chris wanting to crawl back to love and to mend the relationship. The track was released as the second single from his third album Graffiti.

In an interview with MTV News, Chris stated that the song is not about ex-girlfriend Rihanna or any of his previous relationships. He called the message of the song “universal”, and not just about love but “any type of heartache.”

“Crawl” received mixed to positive reviews, but managed to reach only #53 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Chris performed “Crawl” at BET’s SOS Saving Ourselves: Hope for Haiti Telethon, a charity concert to raise funds for Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake.
