“get him back!” is the pop-rock, regretful track describing Rodrigo’s want to get a boy back who she previously dated. She decides to do this in a more ‘sinister’ way by tricking him into making him jealous and sorry for her, which she believes will work.

The song appears on GUTS, the sophomore album from Rodrigo as the eighth track. Rodrigo seems to be contradictory and toys with herself in the lyrics, especially in the bridge, where she admits she wants to do something to grab his attention, but then undo her actions to win his heart again.
