On July 26, 2023, this track was premiered as Lil Yachty’s verse for the 2023 AMP Freshman Cypher, a XXL parody by Atlanta-based YouTube group AMP.

After being praised for his freestyle and requests from fans to release it as a song on Twitter, the song was released on the 4th of August with a music video to go along with it.

At the beginning of the music video, a phone call between Lil Yachty and Kai Cenat, which happened live, can be heard. In which Kai Cenat tells Lil Yachty how much his fans want this freestyle as an official song, Lil Yachty simply replies with “say less”, “I got your blessing, I’ll drop it”.
