“Alarm Clock” is the first single off Sheryl Crow’s twelfth album Evolution. She debuted it (and announced the album) on The Tonight Show on November 2, 2023, the day before her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. It’s a power-rocker about how beautiful dreams can be, and how they are dashed when the alarm clock interrupts them.
