This is a song about gold-diggers before they even label as them, the song is explains about a female taking advantage of a guy and getting him to come out his pockets. This album included one of The Commodores' last significant hits in “Goin' to the Bank”, and it has been the group’s last major charting album to date, even though they went on to release several albums since. “Goin' to the Bank” climbed to number two on Billboard’s R&B singles chart.
