Guap Tarantino

Artist

Chauncey Wanya-Malik Davis (born May 27, 1996), known professionally as Guap Tarantino, is an American recording artist from East Atlanta, Georgia.

Guap Tarantino began writing and making music at the age of 8. After his cousin Future recruited him into Freebandz, he started recording and handing out his own mixtapes in the streets. He had later begun to put his music on streaming platforms in late 2016, kicking this off with the release of Fat Boy Season.

His stage name is derived from the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, which he coined after seeing Quentin’s film Django Unchained in high school.

After releasing his album Guap Mode in 2017 he started to become noticed as a figure in the Atlanta rap scene, ultimately pushing him to pursue music full-time.
