Artist

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born August 26, 2002), better known by his stage name, Lil Tecca, is a rapper and producer out of Queens, New York.

Tecca started rapping at age 9 because of his friends; his first song was a diss track towards his friends, which he would later take down as years went by. He would initially gain a fanbase in Toronto, Canada, leading many to mistake him for being from there, despite him coming from Queens.

He first started to gain mainstream attention with his songs “Molly Girl” and “Did It Again,” but his career would skyrocket with the release of “Ransom.” This was largely due to a Cole Bennett-directed music video, which helped the song achieve a peak at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On August 30, 2019, Lil Tecca released his debut mixtape, We Love You Tecca. The project debuted and peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and contained five songs that reached the Billboard Hot 100, led by “Ransom.” Just a day before the release of his subsequent project, Tecca announced in a tweet that We Love You Tecca had received platinum status.

On September 18, 2020, Lil Tecca released his debut studio album, Virgo World. The album debuted and peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200 and contained two songs that reached the Billboard Hot 100, led by “Dolly” with Lil Uzi Vert.

On August 27, 2021, Lil Tecca released his second rendition of We Love You Tecca—nearly two whole years after the original. The album debuted and peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200 and contained two songs that reached the Billboard Hot 100, which was led by “NEVER LEFT” at #56, followed by the Gunna-assisted “REPEAT IT” at #80.
