Cactus Jack Records is the record label of Houston rapper, Travis Scott.
Travis launched the label in March of 2017. In an interview with Numéro, Travis expressed his vision of the record label:
I’m not doing it to have financial control over my music. I want first and foremost to help other artists, launch new names, to provide opportunities. I want to do for them what happened to me, but better. By better I mean no bullshit. No lying to the artists about album release dates or the budgets of videos and albums.
The label saw its first signee, Smokepurpp, during September of 2017. During October of 2017, Harlem rapper, Sheck Wes, signed a joint record deal with Cactus Jack and G.O.O.D. Music. A couple of days after the release of his highly anticipated album, ASTROWORLD, Travis signed Don Toliver, who featured on “CAN’T SAY,” the 13th track of the album. In 2019, Luxury Tax 50 has signed, in the same year Smokepurpp left the label. In April 2021, SoFaygo joined Cactus Jack. Malu Trevejo initially signed to the label, but dropped out after dropping just one song (“Complicado”) with the label due to contract disputes.
