THRAXXHOUSE

Artist

THRAXXHOUSE was a Los Angeles and Seattle-based collective of rappers, producers, and designers, that rolled somewhere around 40-something members deep. Most of the GOTHBOICLIQUE members were apart of the group.

THRAXXHOUSE started as a Seattle-based collective founded in 2014 by Mackned and Key Nyata, and then expanded with other members like Cold Hart, Horse Head, Yung Bruh, Keyboard Kid, Wicca Phase, NEDARB (first dude outside of Seattle to join), SneakGuapo, Nacho Picasso, Baby Tears, Wiggy. The group kinda broke up around 2015, after Key Nyata departure.

The name Thraxxhouse is a simultaneous nod to Lil B’s first mixtapes I’m Thraxx, (“Thraxx” is slang for weed) and “[witch house,” a dark electronic subgenre that Key and Mackned incorporated into their ambient, melancholic new sound.

Former Thraxxhouse member Wicca Phase spoke about the end of the collective saying, “It just got so big that it was hard to do anything as a group.”
