EL CAPITXN, born Jang Yi Jeong (장이정) on September 10, 1993, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, composer, and producer.
In 2013, he signed under LOEN Entertainment and debuted with an idol boy group HISTORY as the main vocalist.
With HISTORY, he released five Korean and one Japanese mini albums. Yijeong not only sang but has participated in songwriting and composing too. He also featured on label mate IU’s “금요일에 만나요 (Friday).” The single was a big success, charting at #1 on Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.
After HISTORY’s disbandment in 2017, Yijeong joined Devine Channel—a team of producers and songwriters—and a year later, he started to work with BIGHIT MUSIC.
He produces, composes, and writes for top Asian artists, including: BTS, IU, EPIK HIGH, Heize, Suran, Sunmi, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ØMI, and Eric Nam.
