Molotov es una banda mexicana de rock formada en 1995 y conformada por Micky Huidobro, Ismael “Tito” Fuentes, Randy Ebright y Paco Ayala.
Su primer álbum, ¿Dónde Jugarán Las Niñas?, lanzado en 1997, registró más de un millón de copias vendidas. Fue señalado como uno de los mejores álbumes en 1997 por varios medios estadounidenses, país en el que compararon a la música del cuarteto con otras bandas ya establecidas como Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine y Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Molotov ha compuesto varios otros álbumes, el más reciente es Agua maldita, lanzado en 2014. La mayoría de las canciones del grupo son mejor conocidas por su contenido de sátira política y crítica social hacia el gobierno mexicano y la sociedad, motivo por el cual fueron objeto de censura al principio de su trayectoria.
Su éxito ha llevado a Molotov a recorrer varias ciudades de distintos países, tanto de América como de Europa. En total, ha vendido más de cuatro millones de copias de sus discos en todo el mundo. Algunos medios la califican como una de las más irreverentes en su género, aunque de las mejores que existen del rock en español contemporáneo.

Molotov is a Mexican rock band founded in 1995 and conformated by Micky Huidobro, Ismael “Tito” Fuentes, Randy Ebright and Paco Ayala.
Their first album, ¿Dónde Jugarán Las Niñas? (Where Will The Girls Play?, in English), released on 1997, registered more than one million copies sold. It was designated as one of the best albums in 1997 by several American media, a country in which they compared the quartet’s music with other already established bands like Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Molotov has composed many other albums, the most recent is Agua maldita (Damn water, in English), released on 2014. Most of the group’s songs are best known for their content of political satire and social criticism to the mexican government and society, cause why they were censored at the beginning of their career.
Their success has led Molotov to visit several cities in different countries, both in America and Europe. In total, they have sold over four million copies of their albums worldwide. Some media describe it as one of the most irreverent in its genre, although one of the best that exists in contemporary Spanish rock.
