(G)I-DLE is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment. They debuted on May 2, 2018. The group consists of 5 members: Soyeon, Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua. Originally, a 6 member group, Soojin departed on 2021.

The group teasers started with Jeon Soyeon’s “Idle Song” which hinted at the name of the girl group.

They performed their hot debut stage on M! Countdown on May 3, 2018, with their title track, “LATATA”. With a highly successful debut, (G)I-DLE went on to win several rookie awards in 2018.

In 2019, (G)I-DLE took part in the Mnet reality show, Queendom for which they released the song, “Lion”. The song received a nomination for Best Pop Song at the Korean Music Awards.

In 2020, the group dropped their third studio EP, I Trust, including the title track, “Oh my god” sung in both Korean and English with its official music video receiving a 2020 MTV VMA nomination as the first one in their musical career. They’ve also managed to release another title track, “DUMDi DUMDi” in August of the same year. On 2021, they released their forth mini EP, I BURN, with the title track “HWAA”, which was a great hit domestically. On August, it was confirmed that member Seo Soojin left the group.
