“Allergy” is the first b-side track from (G)I-DLE’s sixth mini album, I feel. A pop-rock track, “Allergy,” tells a story from the perspective of a protagonist who wishes to be pretty like the other girls and spends their days in self-doubt.

The lyrics are written by the group leader JEON SOYEON, who has faced countless abusive comments about her visuals, especially during the competition show PRODUCE 101. On the show, SOYEON was known as one of the most talented girls on the roster but was ignored because she wasn’t as pretty.

In the music video, SOYEON plays the main character, who has no confidence and only admires the pretty girls on her Instagram feed. The other members play different ‘pretty girl’ characters dealing with their own struggles hiding away from the world.
