Artist
IshDARR, born Ishmael Ali, is a hip-hop artist from Milwaukee. He got his start working with his brother Isaiah “BoodahDARR” Ali, as well as his former manager Enrique “Mag” Rodriguez. Forming a group called iLL Collective, the three went on to release a few songs before BoodahDARR left for college.
Following his first solo release, The Better Life EP, Ali opened for artists like ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jeremih. Additionally, in 2017 he became the first local rap artist to headline Milwaukee’s Summerfest Music Festival.
He released three projects through EMPIRE: Broken Hearts & Bankrolls (2016), Four The Better EP (2017), and Slow Down, KID (2018) (followed by the release of a Deluxe Edition).
On September 25, 2020 IshDARR released a collaborative mixtape with producer Vitamin Boy entitled Nausea.
On May 19, 2023 he released his seventh project Rested, a seven track EP, through Same Plate Entertainment.
