The Girly Team is the psudonym for women who make music under video game company Ubisoft’s hire. These musicians contribute to their video game franchise Just Dance. Video game composers Tom Salta and Steve Ouimette both oversee production on this group’s songs, like they do with other Just Dance psudeo-groups like Ultraclub 90 and The Sunlight Shakers.
The Girly Team specializes in making covers of female musicians' songs, such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Nancy Sinatra.
One of the group’s first listed appearances was when they were credited for a cover of Irene Cara’s 1980 hit “Fame” in Just Dance 3, although the cover first appeared under a different name, “In the Style of Irene Cara,” in Just Dance. However, the group’s first known covers and songs appeared on Just Dance 3. One of them was a cover of Spears' “…Baby One More Time” and the other was Benjamin Wheeler and Tara Chinn’s “Twist and Shake It,” but with this group name credited.
