NCT 2021 is the third year-based project of South Korean boy group NCT, following NCT 2018 and NCT 2020. The project’s participants consist of most of the members that have debuted under NCT as of 2021. For the first time, NCT’s yearly lineup didn’t add any new members and instead excluded two members; even though NCT is comprised of 23 members, only 21 are participating in this project—member Winwin is busy preparing his acting debut in China and Lucas temporarily halted his activities with NCT in August of the same year due to a controversy.

NCT 2021 is featured as a sub-unit in NCT’s third full-length album Universe with the album’s second title-track “Beautiful,” released on December 14, 2021.
