Boruch Alan Bermowitz, stage name Alan Vega was best known as the singer and co-founder of the band Suicide with Martin Reverby (stage name Martin Rev) around 1970. According to Jesse Malin who was present at a backstage meeting between Vega and Bruce Springsteen, Bruce praised Vega saying:
if Elvis was born again he’d be Alan Vega.
Sadly, Vega passed away in 2016 at the age of 78 in his sleep.
